On Saturday 21 October 2023, Commander Toreno and Senior Vice Morris honored our very own WWII Veteran Mr. Cruz Arizmendi on his 100th birthday with the Bronze Legacy Life membership.
Mr. Arizmendi was drafted into the Army on 15 June 1943. He served as a Technician 5th Grade with D Battery, 581st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in the Rhineland and Central Europe.
He received the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon and 2 Overseas Ribbon
Mr. Arizmendi was also presented a Citation from the City of San Antonio congratulating him on this momentous occasion.
