Founded in 1917 by veterans of the Spanish American War, VFW Post 76 is the oldest post in Texas and has long been a place where those who served everywhere from Normandy to Baghdad could meet up, socialize and help one another.

Beginning 1 August, construction will begin on Avenue B to convert it into a one way street southbound only, (as you leave the VFW, you may only turn right.)
